A lot higher than frozen fish sticks! This Crispy Oven Fried Fish gets first rate crunchy and will be a new favourite for children and adults alike.
Is it any secret that I’m obsessed on all matters oven fried?
Fish sticks were one of my major cravings early in my 0.33 being pregnant, and that i gotta admit… I just offered the frozen stuff, due to the fact morning sickness and cooking simply don’t blend.
But definitely? It’s simply not the same. This selfmade breaded fish blows frozen fish sticks out of the water via far!
FOR THE BREADING:
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
- 2 tablespoons fine cornmeal
- 1 teaspoon fine sea salt
- 2 teaspoons ground paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon dried onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon dried garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
FOR THE EGGS:
- 2 large eggs
FOR THE FISH:
- 1 pound thick white fish fillet I prefer cod cut into pieces, I do about 8-10 pieces
FOR THE PAN:
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter
- Prep: Preheat oven to 430°F. positioned a dark-coloured roaster OR baking sheet inside the oven to heat it up – the pan you operate to bake the fish on desires to be hot to soften the butter on!
- Make breading: blend all substances for the breading in a shallow dish.
- Prep eggs: upload eggs to a SEPARATE shallow dish and beat well.
